School for the deprived and the disadvantaged
The passion for education and infrastructural development around our environment has influenced the Kamaray Family at home and abroad to establish an area of learning for their youths within their vicinity
The interaction has sparked much interest amongst stakeholders to help and contribute to the welfare of the human resource in developing our youths of today.
It is an indispensable fact that the improvement of our youths goes a long way with education. It is therefore appropriate that the Kamaray Family saw the vision to provide tutoring or a place of learning for students and operative community to advance their art for knowledge as many children within our neighborhood are very much deprived and disadvantaged. It is thought fit to establish schools and training ground within the environs of the Mocandoh village near Newton in the Koya Rural District of Sierra Leone.
In these Communities there are many school-going children attending both Primary and Secondary schools but they travel to far away places taking long trek away from home to where the nearest secondary school is located; about nine miles away. At the end of the day it becomes very tiresome for these children when they return home from school and even have to go to bed early without studying followed by a serious drowsiness - (for the body is tired)
Thus both Primary and Secondary schools are appropriate for increasing knowledge within the environs. The dire need for knowledge development with abject poverty among the parents and guardians has possible for these stakeholders to send their children far away from home in search of knowledge.
The Kamaray Family who hailed from the area under review has initiated and championed the course for the establishment of constructing buildings such as:
Main school of 80 metres in length
Main schools Assembly Hall
Teachers’ quarters for local staff.
It is therefore imperative to provide the Mocandoh Community with Secondary schools and other learning institutions to ensure the effective delivery of knowledge to the youths in the community
